The highest-graded copy of the very first Marvel issue, this copy of Marvel Comics No. 1 Comic Book recently became the most expensive Marvel comic ever sold at public auction. Rated a 9.4 out of 10, it is the most well-preserved copy of this 1939 release in known existence, and one of only three copies rated 9.0 or higher. It contains the debuts of the Human Torch, Ka-Zar, Angel, and Sub-Mariner, but is more notable for its rarity than its contents, and is a truly remarkable piece of comic book history. While the auction might be over, the new owner is proactively entertaining offers, so for the right amount, it might still be available.
